Always doing the things furthest away first and working forward. All these fantastic things... they just sorta happen. Your artist license gives you complete freedom. Chickens need a place to live too. We'll have a super time. I thought today, this would be our crazy painting. I lived in Alaska for many, many years. You know I'm crazy about water. I want some happy little things happening up here in the sky. It's a fantastic day here!

Give it a lift-upper. You learn to take advantage of whatever happens and use it to make your painting special. All we want to leave is the value in the canvas. Maybe we will have a little moon up here. Let's have some fun today. Just sorta work it around and around here. Learn to control it. Very gently go across the entire sky. We'll just sort of see what happens. We don't care. I'm lazy... I look for easy ways to do things. Let's do a winter scene, what the heck. We have to have some fun. Just so you have it nice and blended. Think about some basic shapes and forms in this -- don't just throw them on at random. He just hangs around back there and has a good time all day. Just walk right back into this painting. Blend color right here on the canvas. Shoot, I've got to get a little crazy. Clouds could very well be the freest things in nature.

He's a healthy cloud. Don't let your trees get too symmetrical... too even. ...two hairs and some air... Nothing to it! Let's start with some almighty trees and stuff. Drop in some happy little shadows. We'll bring this down to about like so. Time to get crazy now! Let us know, and we'll do some more crazy things for you. Always start with the color in here and then work outward. Let's make a wild mountain today. There's some little stringy ones that live down here. Be sure it's odorless or you'll be working by yourself. I'm a nature freak. Just let it sort of flow. Let's build us a little cloud. You want to start in the center and work outward. Use a lot of pressure. Just give it a little hue here. Scrape that canvas hard! All you want to remain on there is the value.

Now things are going to start happening. Sort of an orangy-yellowish color. I want this to be very bright right in here. That's one of those happy accidents. These are far away, and I'm not looking for a lot of detail. It takes a very, very little bit. Oh, the agony! I remember it. That's pretty already, shoot... but we're not gonna stop there. We're ready to get serious with this. Leave some open spots here and there. Mountains come in all shapes and sizes. Big buildings are just little buildings that had a shot of vitamins. Angles are very, very important. You do it the way that you want it. Just let it sorta dance around in the sky. Each time you do it, you learn from it -- you progress! I like the mountains -- they're my favorite. You don't always have to have a perfect vision in your mind. You want to be able to control these rascals. Get strong with it.
